Honors Chemistry, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana Ph.D. Analytical Chemistry, The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX Certified Group Fitness Instructor Tommi grew up in South Bend, Indiana and developed a love of both music and science. After pursuing an advanced degree in chemistry, she embarked on a science management career in the Energy Industry living in Los Alamos, NM; Albany, NY; Houston, TX; and Bartlesville, OK. In 2019, she and her husband retired from corporate life, relocating from Oklahoma to Flagstaff to focus on family and enjoy the great outdoors. Tommi has been a member of FAC since 2021 and started teaching group fitness classes late that same year. She is Les Mills BODYPUMP® certified and began teaching in 2017. Combining music, movement and fun has become a passion as Tommi has embarked on her own fitness journey, and she aims to inspire others with energy and enthusiasm to help them meet their fitness goals. Tommi enjoys playing flute and piccolo with the Flagstaff Community Band and other musical groups in the area. She also is teaching herself to play the ukulele and enjoys composing music. She loves going on hikes with her dog, husband, and two teenage kids, and can also be found running and biking on the trails with her friends. While very active, she loves to round out a perfect day curled up with a book and a cup of tea!
