Hello There! My name is Patrick Hedquist. I have been a swimmer all my life, from summer swim leagues all the way to collegiate athletics. I have seen almost everything there is to see in the world of swimming. I started out as a 5 year old swimming for my summer league swim team, then moved onto club swimming around the age of 14. From there, I began to really appreciate swimming as a sport. It taught me self discipline, and the value of hard work. After graduating high school, I went to swim at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland. During the summer breaks in college, I would coach my local swim team, teaching kids from ages 3 to 18 and helping raise the next generation of swimmers. I moved to Arizona in 2022, and have been eagerly looking for an opportunity to share the experiences I had growing up with a new crowd of people. I think swimming is not only a great life skill and the best form of exercise, but also a great way to connect with anyone. Everyone of all ages can swim, and I think everyone should swim. I have been a certified lifeguard for nearly 10 years, and have 6 years of coaching experience. I can teach all ages of swimmers, but I specialize in stroke technique and advanced strokes, such as butterfly.
