FAC West Opens on Mon July 16 5am

FAC West reopens on Monday July 16 at 5am. The Lobby, Front Desk, Courts 1-3, Steam Rooms and Men's Jacuzzi will remain closed. Members and Guests will enter thru the Cardio Room. Check back for updates.

RUN

This entire beautiful mountain run is on dirt roads and trails. You leave the Flagstaff Athletic Club East Pool area and travel Southeast behind the club on dirt trails for ½ mile until you reach Old Walnut Canyon Rd. Turning left (SE) on Old Walnut Canyon road you will continue your run for ½ mile until you reach the left turn (East) for parking lot to Campbell Mesa Trail Head. Continue up a dirt road to Continental Trail and turn left (North) on this trail. Run ½ mile on the Continental Trail until you see turnaround sign and then retrace your route back to FAC Pool area. The run is an out and back of 3.1 miles (5K).

BIKE

This entire picturesque mountain bike course is on dirt roads and trails. You leave the Flagstaff Athletic Club East Pool area and travel Southeast behind the club on dirt trails for ½ mile until you reach Old Walnut Canyon Rd. Turning left (SE) on Old Walnut Canyon road you will continue your race on Old Walnut Canyon Rd for 16 K until you reach the Bike Turnaround sign. The bike is an out and back of 10 miles (16K)   Old Walnut Canyon road is a wide dirt road that is in fairly good condition most of the way.

 POOL SWIM (25 yard outdoor pool)

The last event of the race, the swim, will take place in the “pool in the pines” at Flagstaff Athletic Club East. The Pool is a 25 yard – 6 lane lap pool with a gradual shallow beach exit. The swim will begin at the South end of the pool and athletes will swim one lap (2 lengths – 50 yards) in each lane for all 6 lanes (300 yards total). At the end of each lane, athletes will swim under the lane line, into the next lane. Then athletes will exit at the beach exit on the North end of the pool and run up the grass to through the finish line/electronic timing pads.
